Anomatic Corporation’s new Innovation and Design Center is capable of producing 3D decorated prototype packages.
Anodized aluminum packaging specialist Anomatic Corporation, which broke ground on a new Innovation and Design Center last year, has announced that it has expanded capacity by 250 million units, producing more than 1.1 billion units last year. In addition, the company says 2013 has started out strong in this 75,000 square foot LEED certified building in New Albany, OH, adding that “many out-of-the-box and innovative ideas have become a reality as customer visions are combined with Anomatic’s state-of-the-art technologies.”

The Innovation and Design Center brings new technology to Anomatic in the form of 3D rapid metal and plastic prototyping. The company’s centralized design engineering processes and enhancing capabilities include: laser engraving, SolidWorks stations and Waycom Cintiq tablets for designing packages, tooling, and automation systems. Onsite custom color matching features a new color library. The end result, says Anomatic, is a fully decorated prototype package produced within hours as opposed to weeks, allowing customers to gather feedback and increase speed to market.
